Experiment Haywire — Remix Riot

CD packaging design for Experiment Haywire’s Remix Riot, a full-length remix album featuring a number of prominent industrial artists remixing tracks from Experiment Haywire’s first three albums. The album is packaged in a standard Jewel case. Experiment Haywire is the solo musical project of Rachel Haywire, vocalist for Brooklyn’s all-female performance art troupe Nuclear Riot Party. She founded machineKUNT Records in 2008 to promote women in electronic and alternative music.

Behind The Design
The client requested something combining elements of Dada art, mixed media, collage and the look and feel of the Steampunk movement. Rachel provided many ideas that appear in the album’s design.
